If a tree falls in the forest, and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Inspired by the majesty of Finnish forests, Keikari’s Metsa EP endeavours to audibly personify the woodland’s shadowed embrace. The muffled rustling of pine needles and sway of skeletal birch trees are evoked by the dichotomy between high-frequency sequences and sonorous kicks. The EP’s three tracks, Metsa (forest), Myrsky (storm), and Sade (rain), each explore a different mood, with varying intensity and otic emotion. The Metsa EP is available on Bandcamp from Monocode Records.
